Maria Mombers is a multidisciplinary artist and designer based in Rotterdam whose practice moves between multimedia installations, design, film, education and visual research.

Her work investigates the increasingly blurred boundary between lived experience and constructed realities, with a particular focus on the commodification of attention and the growing influence of e-commerce within digital spaces. By deliberately copying the visual styles of branded environments such as theme parks, concept stores, and targeted advertising, she constructs staged realities that emphasise the absurdities of late-stage capitalism.
